The Tight10 is a research-based, structured fluency and comprehension routine. The routine is designed for use across core content areas to develop and accelerate strong reading skills in just 10 minutes a day, 3 days per week. It is flexible enough to be used as a Tier 1, Tier 2, or Tier 3 literacy resource and is ideal for any subject where reading is required.
The Tight10 is a reading fluency routine that focuses on the reading of a content-rich and important grade-level text passage. Each Tight10 routine follows the same structure:

Step 1: Teacher provides a model read of the selected passage.

Step 2: Students engage in a repeated reading routine (echo, choral, or partner read).

Step 3: Students engage in a comprehension activity.
